12 flats on a prominent corner site beside the New Bermondsey regeneration project

We have seen the projects evolve from a former Victorian era building with commercial use of 1/2 storeys into its current form.

The first phase was constructed as a 4 storey (plus basement) mixed use development comprising of 8 flats with commercial space and basement parking. Subsequently planning permission was granted to convert two of the commercial units into residential use increasing the number of flats to 10. Additionally planning permission was sought for an upward extension of the building to add two more flats bringing the total number up to 12.

The story continues to unfold. Inspired by recently constructed high rise developments along Ilderton Road and the surrounding area we have been instructed to explore the potential of an upward extension to increase the overall height further.
